GROUP HEALTH COACHING - THE WELL-NEST SESSIONS

Join a Live WellNest Weekend Session. You can register here for in person attendance or live stream participation. Or, register to be sent the recording* and return to listen on your own time (recordings will be edited).

Pay what you can. $20-$40 suggested contribution for am or pm sessions. $90 both, & $120-$180/overnight* which includes evening & morning meals & beverages, yoga & WellNest classes. *If paying via Airbnb link, food & class donation not included, and potluck not necessary if traveling.

Our WellNest Session themes vary weekly: ALL ARE POT-LUCK if you choose, but not necessary. DISHES MUST CONTAIN one or more of Rebecca’s choice of healthy seasonal whole foods:

These WellNest Sessions are about learning to make & share healthier food for our wellbeing & that of our families & our communities.

My mission is to share the wisdom of nature, and to remind each other that WE CAN DO many things to create healthy longevity, at least while our freedom & wallets allow. WE MUST DARE TO BE AWARE & WISER, AND REMEMBER WE ARE INNATELY INTELLIGENT, NATURAL CREATIONS DESIGNED MIRACULOUSLY TO BE SUSTAINED BY THE EARTH WE WERE BORN ON.

1/6/23 Friday PM: FULL MOON HOUSE WARMING - howling possible

7 PM Rebecca’s Welcome - This is my first winter here in Green Hill, and I’m lonely. We need each other. Let’s sit around the fire & share some of the womanly ways we can (or do) warm our hOMes for ourselves, our families or strangers passing by. What do you do when feeling emotionally or physically isolated, alone, or with a sullen spirit? How do you warm your heart when feeling cold, without relying on the one dimension of blue screens? This is a no comparison, no judgement free zone. Open for surprises and just hanging out.

9-11 PM Full Wolf-moon dance party with streamed air play of my Martha’s Vineyard friend, DJ RCF’s ambient dance music: this fire side move & grove is preceded by my favorite winter fruit pomegranates, persimmons and citrus in non-alcoholic, low sugar desserts & beverages (optional tequila if want a shot to add of the least detrimental alcohol); followed by your second option, to sleep over (guest rooms available through AirBnB or talk to Rebecca.)

9-10 AM Yin Yoga this mellow, multi-level, slow flow will also hold us still in pain free postures, where we can practice pausing in silence or can ponder some beautiful, simple poetry. Held in one of the house’s warm, sunlit spaces.

Breakfast: a great winter food, nourishing, gluten-free buckwheat crepes, with pomegranate & cacao gems; nut/seed butters or poached or scrambled local eggs in ghee, winter greens & herbs.

Coffee Talk - 10:30-12 Rebecca’s caffeinated class time (or we have decaf/herbal options). My talk will cover the pros (and there are many!) of coffee and other plants that naturally contain caffeine, from cacao to Matcha to Yerba mate. I’ll also cover why caffeine affects people differently & how you can optimize it’s benefits or lower it’s detriments, by knowing your body weight to caffeine ratio, and with intake timing & what you enjoy it with.

Coffee Talk - covers pros & cons of caffeine and the idiosyncratic responses we individuals may have towards the stimulating yet I’ll address individual’s questions and concerns if there’s education to be had that I can humbly offer, as much of what we ask has the answers within. We may discuss an overlap of concerns week to week, and pending current, seasonal or timely issues, repetition is never a bad thing to help us understand, master or create a fresh understanding or insight. This months topic: Healthy ways to give & receive with intentions based around our most soulful values.

We’ll journal around what’s important to us & create visions full of fresh incite & shared ideas for emotional & physical wellness.

This is a spontaneous, judgement free zone of collaboration to create happier spiritual and physical hOMes throughout the holiday season, and a housewarming for me, as I am grateful to live in a beautiful new spacious hOMe I truly want to share with friends and clients, for our social lives and visiting each other is key to our longevity.

I’ll share healthy mid afternoon beverages & snacks, after a quick walk on the mossy trail by my house, or an indoor brief stretching with breathing. Come as you are. You are welcome to contribute a gluten-free nibble to the food bar, but it is not necessary, and a donation towards hOMnaturale events is appreciated, but also not necessary.

OPTIMIZE YOUR SPRING CLEANSING with COACHING

SPRING CLEANSING with REBECCA

Receive 1:1 coaching in support of your specific health needs, as you set up and follow through with a ten to twenty-one day cleanse designed by me, a Certified Nutritionist, Certified Health Coach and Registered Yoga and Meditation teacher, Rebecca J. Briggs.

Spring detoxing is natural and your body does it whether your organs are prepared or not. I’ll help you check in with your micro-biome status, and phase 1 & phase 2 liver health, and your gall bladder and kidney function, before your body get’s to challenged with the natural instinct to release stored metabolic or environmental toxins.

This interconnected systems check-up, is important to tune up organs in preparation of the season’s natural processes. In winter our metabolism slows down and we naturally burn up our stored food reserves in fat, while also releasing the dsyfunctioning, tired cells are body naturally lets die (autophagy). in our more rested state (presumably fasting while we sleep more during these longer, darker winter days). This break down of fat speeds up in spring, as the body naturally goes into “cleansing mode” releasing the dead cells and flushing out the stores of metabolic waste or environmental toxins stored in our fat as a mode of protecting our vital organs from their anti-nutrient stuctures, or excessiveness, since the liver can only deal with so many by products like fructose (excessive refined carbs/industrial processed foods) and zeno-estrogens (bisphenyl A, sodium lauryl sulfate, herbicides, pesticides) or heavy metals (aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, nickel) .

Our GI tract also, naturally wants to get “unstuck”, releasing the the gluey, sticky protein molecules from a winter diet of gluten-heavy processed grass grains, like wheat pastas, breads, crackers and cookies, and corn chips, tortillas and sweet dairy with it’s sticky casein A1 protein molecules as found in industrial dairy especially in sweetened, low fat yogurts, ice cream, milks and cheeses. Cleansing this gluten and casein “gunk” off your mucosal epithelial walls, (be they sinus linings or intestines) will free up constipated, sluggish bowels and help clear skin and sinus cavity issues as the body struggles to find alternative roots to release irritants from the body. The world we live in challenges are detoxification organs whether we strive to live a “clean” life or not.

Moreover, NOT all cleanses are beneficial for every body/blood type- I can help you navigate the choices. Together we’ll check in with your body’s three major systems: your endocrine/hormonal system; your nervous system/sympathetic & para sympathetic responses & your immune system, which is pretty dependent on the perceived and actual stressors your body takes in or has to process.

Your body’s ability to naturally cleanse, on a daily, seasonal and acute toxicity basis is key to how these three systems interact, so you can keep healthy muscle mass, and stay nourished, functioning with minimal hormonal (“hangry”) blood sugar swings, excessive body aches, fatigue or detox headaches. Dry body brushing, hydrotherapy (cold water), saunas and epsom salt and essential oil baths are a part of this regime.

My Detox hOMe & Body Cleanse includes a suggested daily regime of Intermittent Fasting (IF) with food and beverage lists, simple recipes, botanicals and nutritional supplements as needed. Plus movement and meditations to help you cleanse your spirit (if wounded/overwhelmed), thoughts (of self doubt/fear) and actions (if self harming/lethargic).

Energy and bodywork sessions to relax your body, mind and spirit, safely releasing fascial, muscular, organ and lymphatic tension and congestion can be added to your Detox hOMe & Body Cleanse if you are in my area (Rhode Island or Martha’s Vineyard- post coronavirus social distancing).

I also offer Mini Yoga and Meditation Sessions (live or online) with safe, structural realignment postures, and relaxing breathing exercises specific to your physical and emotional stress-relieving needs. I’ll help you come up with the right movement for your body type and condition and lifestyle, which will include daily outdoor time & gentle movement meditations to reset your mind, body and spirit in alignment with the natural world around you.

We’ll cover any attitudinal, movement, or general life obstacles that flare up and I’ll offer accountability along with suggested practical ways to get you through the challenges of cleansing or of life in general (coronavirus scare or not).

From 7-8pm, we’ll begin with a beautiful yoga flow and meditation, followed by a Sacred Chant Concert with Andi Flax from 8-9:30pm. If you haven’t been to the new Eclipse Studio by the Lagoon in VH, it is divine and the perfect location for this event.
